Starting on May 28th, 2026 an update to your Airstream Smart Technology system will be available for your Airstream. This is a free and required update delivered digitally to your Airstream.
This update helps keep connected features working reliably and prepares your Airstream for future updates and features.
Airstream owners with 2025-2026 Airstream Classics will need to complete two steps:
- Keep your Airstream powered on and connected between May 28th - July 20th for at least 24 hours so the vehicle software update can install.
- Re-Pair your MyAirstream App to your Airstream after the migration is complete.
The update requires both a mobile app update and an update to your touchscreen.
Which Airstreams Are Receiving the Software Updates?
Only owners who have 2025-2026 Airstream Classics will receive the software update to their touchscreen and will need to re-pair their MyAirstream app.
If you do not have a 2025-2026 Airstream Classic, you do not need to complete any steps.
Purpose of the Update
The update ensures your Airstream continues to receive bug fixes, display updates and any new features.
Additionally, the update enables your MyAirstream app to connect to your Airstream so you can continue to enjoy features like turning your Airstream’s lights off/on remotely, locating your Airstream, checking battery status and much more.
Essential Steps for the MyAirstream™ Smart Technology Transition
To help your Airstream receive the update, please complete the following steps between May 28th and July 20th, 2026:
- Make sure your Airstream has power and is turned on.
- Ensure your Airstream has cellular coverage.
- Leave your Airstream powered on and connected for at least 24 hours.
- Re-pair your MyAirstream mobile app to your touchscreen by following the instructions Getting Started with MyAirstream Technology.
Step 1: Touchscreen Update
The first step of the MyAirstream™ Smart Technology is the update to your touchscreen.
In order for your in-vehicle touchscreen to receive the software update automatically, your Airstream must be powered on and connected for at least 24 hours.
When your touchscreen is ready to start the installation, you will see a bell icon. No action is needed, your touchscreen will update automatically.
Step 2: MyAirstream App Update
The second step of the MyAirstream™ Smart Technology is re-pairing your MyAirstream app to your Airstream.
On June 1, you will receive a notification on your MyAirstream mobile app that an update has been pushed to your app.
The updated mobile app is version 2.10.15
You can view your app’s version by going to More -> About the App -> App Information
Once you have the latest version of the app, you’re ready to start the re-pairing process. Locate the QR code in the front overhead cabinet of your Airstream and follow these instructions:
- Click on the "Connect to my Airstream Vehicle" field.
- Grant the MyAirstream app permission to access the camera.
- Scan the pairing QR code with your smartphone. The pairing QR code is part of your vehicle
- documentation.
- Click on the "Connect to vehicle" button.
- Press the "BLE Pairing Connect" button in the settings menu on your Classic’s touch screen. The settings menu (gearwheel) is at the top left corner of the display.
- (If you can’t find the BLE Pairing button, click “Where can I find the connectivity button” in your MyAirstream app).
- In your MyAirstream app, click the “Next” button.
- Confirm you have pressed the BLE Pairing button on the screen.
- Confirm the pairing request on your smartphone.
- Click the “Go to Dashboard” button to start the MyAirstream app experience.
- The app is now connected to the vehicle. Pressing the connection button in the vehicle ensures that no person from outside the vehicle can establish an unauthorized connection to your Classic.
Primary users and guest users of your MyAirstream app will need to re-pair in order to stay connected to your Airstream’s smart technology capabilities.
Where to find your pairing QR code
Your QR code sticker is located in the front overhead cabinet.

What happens if I do not complete the update by July 20th, 2026?
If the touchscreen update is not completed before July 20th, you will lose access to vehicle features in your MyAirstream app.
Additionally, Airstreams that do not receive the touchscreen update will not receive future updates, bug fixes, or feature enhancements.
What will continue to work?
Your touchscreen display will continue to control local vehicle functions but will not be able to connect to your MyAirstream app.
When should I complete the update?
We recommend completing the touchscreen update as soon as it becomes available on May 28th, 2026.
The second step to complete is to re-pair your MyAirstream app to your Airstream. You can complete this step any time after your touchscreen update has been completed.
To learn how to re-pair your MyAirstream app to your Airstream, visit Getting Started with MyAirstream Technology.
What if I am currently traveling?
You can continue using the in-vehicle display for local control.
For the best experience, complete the software update when your Airstream can remain powered on, connected, and idle overnight. If you are actively using your touchscreen, the update may wait until the system is idle.
What if I cannot re-pair after the update?
Use your original pairing QR code and follow the app prompts.
If pairing does not complete, contact Airstream Customer Support. Our team can help confirm whether your touchscreen software update is complete and help you re-pair your app.
